West Pacific Typhoon

While everyone is focusing on the 5th storm in the Atlantic, we here in the West Pac are catching up.  The fifth storm (far less than climatology (see http://weather.cityu.edu.hk/tc_forecast/TC_2005.htm) is now moving towards the Island of Taiwan.  However, the forecasts are very different.  EC predicts that by 18 July 00 UTC, Typhoon Haitang will have made landfall on the Island of Taiwan but the GFS predictions from last night predicts that it would recurve to the east of Taiwan.  JTWC also predicts recurvature - a product of NCON? Below are the three figures.
